COURSE DESCRIPTION
Through observational drawing, using black and white media, students learn the skills needed to realistically render 3-dimensional objects on a 2-dimensional surface. Renaissance systems of perspective and chiaroscuro drawing are explored along with the formal aspects of drawing such as line, tone, shape, rhythm, composition, space and proportion.

• Sketchbooks: 1 small (30x40) rigid cover and 1 large (50x70) for class work
