Course description:
Once a week students and faculty will meet to discuss topics of interest in Contemporary art and Italian Culture .
The purpose of the Art and Culture Seminar is to provide an informal gathering to discuss work, art and culture with the backdrop of Florence, Italy. We will be viewing videos and films, visiting contemporary art galleries and having informal critiques of students work. We will have guest artists in to talk about their work. Students are invited to bring their sketchbooks and work.
This seminar is intended to help provide a community where you can share your ideas and listen to the ideas of others. We encourage students to participate by suggesting forum topics, and actively participating in talks and coordination of the evenings.
