Overview
The SRISA Graphic Design program prepares students for a career
in the field of visual communications. The program will not only consist
of the development of creative and analytical thought but also provide
technical mastery on industry standard software such as the Adobe Creative
Suite. Students will be encompassed by various facets of the design
industry including web design and identity design to typography and
self-promotion that will allow a multi-disciplinary approach to the
learning process. Being based in Florence, students will be introduced
to Italian design systems and the importance Europe has played in the
development of design concepts and typography. On completion of the
program students will be confident in their technical and conceptual
ability and be prepared to work within communication design consultancies,
interdisciplinary consultancies, publishing houses, new media/multimedia
studios, and advertising agencies.

standard digital tools. Courses will provide technical and theoretical
information on communication design, digital images and typography.
Graphic Design Certificate

multimedia presentations. Courses will be structured to give a practical
and conceptual insight to design through studio visits, tutorials, printing
workshops and guest lectures. At the end of the year students will become
familiar with design research and will write a thesis in conjunction
with an exhibition and final portfolio presentation.
