Fashion Design

Course description:
This course aims to teach students to learn and appreciate Italian Fashion History and the major Italian Designers by viewing a selection of Hollywood movies, which will open up class discussions and analysis.  Particular attention will be given to the study of 20th century styles and to Italian Costume designers that won Academy Awards for their creations.  The course will focus on major designers such as Valentino and Giorgio Armani and their relationships with the Movie Industry as well as Federico Fellini's masterpiece: La Dolce Vita, which gives a marvelous pictures of Italian society and lifestyle in the 60's. 
Meet the Faculty: Prof. Enrica Guidato

Enrica Guidato comes from Lecce, Italy. After receiving her scientific Diploma, she moved to Florence and then New York where she received her Associate Degree for Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology S.U.N.Y. She also received a Diploma for Apparel Design at Ent-Art Polimoda Institute in Florence, Italy.
