Enrica Guidato was born in Lecce in 1975, where she attended the Scientific High School. In 1993 she moved to Florence and then to New York, where she attended and successfully completed the Associate Degree for Fashion Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in 1995 with a specialization in Fashion Drawing and Illustration.

After receiving her degree she went back to Florence, where she earned the Diploma di Design nell'Abbigliamento at the Ent-Art Polimoda Institute In 1996. After completing her studies, Guidato began to work as an assistant designer for companies like the Gb.Pedrini/Incom s.p.a. in Pistoia, Modyva s.p.a. in Empoli and for L.Strambi design studio In Milan. Then she started to work as head designer and free-lance designer for various companies around Tuscany, including: Sara Lee Champions Inc., Big Brothers s.r.l., Progresso s.r.l., Free Soul and others.

In 2001, while continuing her design career, she started her teaching career creating and teaching fashion-related courses both practical and theoretical. She continues to teach at SRISA and the Lorenzo de Medici Institute, where she is also the Academic Coordinator for the Fashion Department.

She continues to pursue her career as designer and professor especially focusing on the creation and organization of special fashion courses that have a constant link with the working fashion system.
