Who can do an internship?
Can anyone request to do an internship? Those that are chosen will be selected on the basis of their experience and motivation. Students that have a strong background in Italian will be more likely to be placed in an internship, however, speaking Italian is not a prerequisite for participation.
What do I need to do to apply for an internship?
Students that wish to apply for an internship before the program begins must submit a CV and a letter of intent describing the desired work experience. In most cases students will not be placed until they arrive in Florence, however, it may be possible for those students wishing to obtain credit to obtain approval before hand.
What is involved?
The amount of time that each internship will require is dependent on whether students choose to pursue credit. Students that pursue the internship for credit will be required to keep regular hours each week and make a final written presentation about their work experience.
Important information:
None of these internships are paid. The internship, if taken for credit, will take the place of one 3 credit course.
Internship Fees can be found on the Dates and Fees page by clicking here.
