It is the responsibility of each student to make his/her own travel arrangements. You may wish to have a travel agent help you with your travel plans. There are many different options for purchasing your tickets and it is important to choose the one which suits your needs best. Below are a few options that would be helpful to explore.
We recommend flying directly into the Florence airport for the convenience factor although flights arriving into major cities such as Rome and Milan are usually less expensive. Make sure to calculate supplemental transportation to Florence if choosing to fly into an alternative airport. After you calculate the expenses of additional trains, buses and cabs you may find that it makes your trip less complicated and expensive to fly directly into Florence. Also be sure to include Pisa and Bologna airports in your searches, the tickets are sometimes better prices and Pisa has a train directly from the airport to Florence.
