SRISA offers opportunities to teach to US and
International faculty. If live in Florence or
would like to move to Florence and are looking for a

Requirements:
To teach at SRISA you must have a terminal degree or
equivalent experience. In the US system MFA for
studio arts and a PH.D. for Liberal Arts. Candidates
applying from other countries must have a terminal
degree in their area of study. In Italy that
means a Dottorato in the University system and a
Dipolma from the Academia system. All faculty
must be able to speak and write correctly in English as
all classes are held in English. Knowledge of
Italian is not required. Studio art faculty are
expected to have a list of exhibitions and
publications, in both liberal arts and studio courses
some teaching experience required.
Host
your school and teach at SRISA.
More than 50% of programs hosted at SRISA are
faculty-led. In most cases the relationship with
SRISA is begun with the faculty that propose a program
to their study abroad office. If you are
interested in teaching at SRISA this may be an
option. Your school may already have a program at
SRISA or you could be the first person to establish a
relationship with SRISA. LINK to HOST

Teach
for SRISA in the summer.
Every summer SRISA hires visiting faculty from other
universities to teach at SRISA. If you are
interested in proposing a course or submitting your CV
to teach we recommend you send your resume’ at least
one year prior to the period of time you would like to
teach.
