SRISA arranges housing upon request for students enrolled at the school. It is a great opportunity for students to get to know one another while being immersed in the daily Italian life that greatly enriches their study abroad experience.

Housing Options:
Double room in a shared apartment
Single room in a shared apartment
Private apartment
Arrange your own housing* (see note below)

Housing costs include rent, reasonable utility usage, staff assistance, and administrative fees.

Students are housed in residential apartments located within a 20-minute walk from the main campus. All apartments are fully furnished with the essential necessities for independent living.

Apartments are equipped with:
  • Kitchen with refrigerator and stove
  • Dishes, pots, pans, flatware and glasses
  • Bathroom with shower and/or bath
  • Blankets and pillows

Note: Telephones, internet and linens are not provided

Shared Apartments:
Apartments vary in size with a combination of single and double bedrooms (4-6 people average per apartment). Very few of the apartments have air-conditioning, none have telephones, and some do not have washing machines. Cellular phones are easily available for rental at an inexpensive rate. Students with particular needs may want to arrange their own housing.

Important note:
Most rooms in Florentine apartments are double occupancy. We CANNOT guarantee any student a single room. Students are required to indicate a second choice when submitting a housing application.

Private apartments:
Non-traditional age students, students with special needs and students accompanied by a family member may wish to request a private apartment. Private apartments are rented to one individual that is enrolled at SRISA. This kind of accommodation is generally more expensive than shared apartments. Those wishing to stay in a private apartment should contact the Housing Coordinator at housing@santareparata.org

Check-in & Check-out:
The apartment rental period starts on the check-in date and ends on the check-out date (see calendar). Students remaining from one term to another will have the option of housing in between terms although it may incur and extra fee. Students will not have access to their apartments at any other time before or after their program dates.

*Students that wish to arrange their own housing may do so.  Please note, however, that SRISA will not be responsible for any independently arranged housing. This includes check in and check out and any issues that may arise.
